Jordana and Tom are a German based electronic power duo with the alias Moon and Aries. They have just released an original album titled “The Arrival”. We had a few questions and answers with them. Below are exclusive details on Moon and Aries and their new release.

What do you do (fashion, music, comedy, artist, dancer, etc.)?
We are a music duo
How did you get into what you do (music, modelling, art, dance, etc.?)
We both got into it at a young age, taking music lessons and realising early this was a passion, but felt so much purpose. Tom took extensive piano training, I played a few instruments, but focused on vocals and writing.
What field or genre are you into and give a brief description of what your career/profession/ field feels like?
Our biggest influences are synth pop, trip hop, jazz and musical theatre. So we created our own genre: Synth Pop Opera. And we totally enjoy being in our own lane in the music industry, it opens more doors for us. So far we’ve had a lot of success being innovative and authentic.
Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?
We are inspired by other indie artists who are rocking the industry. It’s a great community, full of support and positive energy. We also inspire each other. We always chat about our song concepts, or album concepts and we have so much inside of us to share and explore. Tom’s compositions inspire my lyrics and my voice inspires his melodies.
What was your first project and the people you worked with and which year?
Tom and I have an extensive past of working with others in bands and in theatre, but Moon and Aries is our biggest project yet. And it began in 2020.
How many projects do you have so far?
We’ve released a 9 song album, a single that’s not on the album and have much more set to release this year.
How long have you been doing what you do?
Decades.
What do you look out for in this line of business?
We watch out for Sith Lords and scammers. We’ve taken a few wrong turns aka learning curves to know who to trust. And we also keep an eye out for high energy high vibe people we can align with to help push our project forward.
Have you won any awards or been nominated for an award? Or in short, any achievement? Both in and out of your career path.
We are both parents ☺️ no awards for music yet, but both Tom and I have awards for sports.
What is this new release about?
Our latest release was our full album, The Arrival, on Feb 22, 2022. It’s a concept album about going through the dark night of the soul into illumination.
Who and how many people worked on it?
Tom wrote all of the music. And he came up with a few of the titles to the tracks as well. I wrote the lyrics and did all of the vocals. Chris Kung mixed and mastered nearly the full album. We also had Lissette Real create our cover art and animation videos.
What can your previous and new audiences anticipate from you in the future?
Continual music releases. Growth as artists. Lots of live performances. And even a comic book series.
